Contract Negotiation
The negotiation of player contracts is the most important function an agent serves for each client. Our agents negotiate contracts at all stages of a client’s career, whether it be Entry Level contracts for drafted players or undrafted free agents, or subsequent contract for Group II Restricted Free Agents, or players who qualify for out-right Free Agency. We also help navigate a player through the arbitration process where required. Our track record in these areas are 2nd to none.
Marketing & Endorsements
We actively look for opportunities for our clients to maximize their earning potential during their career. We assist in soliciting offers and negotiate terms for our players. The window of opportunity can be small so maximizing
opportunities is important.
Financial Services
We assist our clients with a variety of financial matters. These include accounting/tax services, insurance coverage and wealth management solutions. We do not charge a referral fee like many firms do. For 3rd party services, our clients deal directly with the proper professionals of the services they require through our network of business experts.
On & Off Ice Training
We recognize the importance of proper training in professional hockey and use our contacts and training experts to design specific training programs for our players, particularly young prospects. This is crucial in maximizing potential.
Origins
For over 20 years, Thunder Creek has represented hockey players around the globe. Based in Saskatoon, we advise our clients through their amateur, junior, college and professional careers. No other firm can compete with our ability to see and service our players on a regular basis.
Our staff and resources are fully dedicated to servicing our clients. We have developed relationships with our clients based on the high level of personal and professional services at all levels of their playing careers.
We continue to recruit and represent players that we feel are of the highest quality of character, skill and commitment. Our Representatives
Jason Davidson
Jason brings to Thunder Creek 20 years of experience in representing professional athletes. His expertise in negotiations spans a broad spectrum, from individual player contracts to endorsement contracts to event management. He has earned the respect of his peers and enjoys a strong relationship with each of his clients.
Aaron Tetu
Aaron joined Thunder Creek Professional Player Management in 2016 after spending more than 15 years with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies hockey program as a player and assistant coach. Aaron received his Advanced I NCCP Coaching Certification in 2005. While at the University of Saskatchewan, Aaron obtained his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education (B.S.P.Ed.) and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.). He has experience completing numerous contracts, negotiations, transactions and hearings at all levels of Court in Saskatchewan. Aaron serves as legal counsel for Thunder Creek Professional Player Management and assists in player representation and recruiting.
Blake Evans
Blake became one of Thunder Creek’s first clients in 1994. He signed his first professional contract with the St. Louis Blues and commenced a 12-year career in professional hockey, the last 7 of which were in Europe. Blake’s journey as a professional hockey player provides him with a unique insight that allows him to assist his clients in their own pursuit of a professional career. In addition, his experience in the European league, together with the relationships he has established, are tremendous assets for all Thunder Creek clients who desire to secure a position in one of the European leagues.
